I did a productive goodwill haul on Tuesday, was from my Tuesday and among the things I scored on was this, what I thought to be white two panel curtains... turned out to be a big ol’ fabric shower curtain!!! In great condition might I add, but a SHOWER CURTAIN nonetheless.
I kid you not! You should have seen my face When I unfolded the whole thing to find just one big sheet with little threaded tear drop openings made for shower hooks up top..., I WAS BUMMED!
I was able to #repurpose them! Made the tear drop hook openings a little bigger, AND make it into a window curtain for the office! Is it one big panel? YES! Does it look silly or unusual?! MAYBE! Do I care? PSHH, NOPE!
I just love the fabric and the texture and design in it. It is a thicker fabric, which was a good natural dimmer for the room. I just love how it worked out!
And who knows, maybe eventually I’ll break out my sewing machine and I can cut it (attempt to cut it + re-sew) down the middle + turn it into a two panel curtain set? Eh eh?
Moral of the story, (and with me there is always a story) Just goes to show, you don’t let a little bump in the road stop ya, because if you preserver, it could end up being something really cool!
I need your opinion, what do you think? Is it passable as one if I get a cute little hook for the side of the window? Or should I attempt to make it into two panels??? DROP YOUR COMMENT BELOW PLEASE!
