Whew! What a month March was! The sun has been showing up more and more each day. And now going into April I’m ready for the longer, beautiful days to continue! I think we can officially say goodbye to the ice and snow — THANK GOODNESS! And I’m all motivated to open up the windows, air out the house, and freshen up around here!
Now, this springtime DIY project I did is going to show you the one tip / thing to avoid doing the DIY concrete eggs. BUT also, how you can FIX IT and still make it look freakin’ good when things don’t go as planned — because let’s be real, this is life — it happens! So you just gotta wing it!
So before you all click away and jump ship, I SWEAR I am going to show you the ONE very simple thing to be sure you do, to get the perfect round concrete egg form! And if it still happens to turn out wonky (like mine did) there’s ways to fix it, so don’t fret, okay?
P.S. -- I am so proud to mention that I have teamed up with an amazing group of fellow badass blogger gals, that shared their fun DIY projects as well! Please be sure to check at the end to see their photos and links to their DIY's! I feel blessed to be around so much talent!
It’s been a while since of shared a good Goodwill haul!
So here you go! One of my most recent hauls! Also stick it through to the end to see some “blooper” photos, HA! Real life with pets, amiright?

Hey all! It’s been a bit! I know with this new year my goal was to be more active with the blog posts...I’ve been working on it! I never said I would be a posting machine over night! Although, you know I am pretty active on IG - @rustybarnblog
The other day I was cleaning my stovetop, let’s be real, it looked NASTY!
Since buying the house this past July, I am ALL ABOUT the neutral, rustic and simple vibes. So naturally, (haha, see what I did there??) when I was trying to think of the perfect DIY craft for Valentine’s Day decor, I wanted to make a sweet + simple wreath! My thinking was, this could be something that would be timeless and fit in with varying styles for years to follow.
So let’s dive in, this will be quick because it was soooo easy to do! I will also provide a list of supplies / stores at the very end, so that you can have the references on making this too!
