Whew! What a month March was! The sun has been showing up more and more each day. And now going into April I’m ready for the longer, beautiful days to continue! I think we can officially say goodbye to the ice and snow — THANK GOODNESS! And I’m all motivated to open up the windows, air out the house, and freshen up around here!
Now, this springtime DIY project I did is going to show you the one tip / thing to avoid doing the DIY concrete eggs. BUT also, how you can FIX IT and still make it look freakin’ good when things don’t go as planned — because let’s be real, this is life — it happens! So you just gotta wing it!
So before you all click away and jump ship, I SWEAR I am going to show you the ONE very simple thing to be sure you do, to get the perfect round concrete egg form! And if it still happens to turn out wonky (like mine did) there’s ways to fix it, so don’t fret, okay?
P.S. -- I am so proud to mention that I have teamed up with an amazing group of fellow badass blogger gals, that shared their fun DIY projects as well! Please be sure to check at the end to see their photos and links to their DIY's! I feel blessed to be around so much talent!
Since buying the house this past July, I am ALL ABOUT the neutral, rustic and simple vibes. So naturally, (haha, see what I did there??) when I was trying to think of the perfect DIY craft for Valentine’s Day decor, I wanted to make a sweet + simple wreath! My thinking was, this could be something that would be timeless and fit in with varying styles for years to follow.
So let’s dive in, this will be quick because it was soooo easy to do! I will also provide a list of supplies / stores at the very end, so that you can have the references on making this too!
Hear me out here...
I love our home! It’s our first home and I love the peacefulness and quiet and having a little chunk of property! BUTTTT sometimes, I’m tellin’ ya, this whole manufactured home thing throws a wrench into things as far as our home improvement and DIY projects. But here’s the thing:
Let’s talk bathroom art + decor! If you’ve checked or seen my Instagram feed, and scrolled allllll the waaaay down. You’ll see what I had going on in the guest bathroom.. specifically, wall décor!
Boy, oh boy!
Talk about productive day off! A couple Wednesday’s ago,(gosh has it already been that long?!) I had ran to Home Depot to get my paint for the tv stand ( my Goodwill outlet $7 score!). Sooo, since Home Depot just happened to be near the Goodwill outlet, you better believe I went and made a little pit stop in hopes for scoring another great find!
Hey! I’m Kayleigh, the gal and wit behind Rusty Barn Blog.
After moving from OR to WA, and knowing only the suburbia lifestyle, I was craving some peace and quiet. When it came time for my longtime boyfriend and I to buy our first home —- we stumbled upon our little manufactured home on 1.25 acres and are givin’ this place a cozy rustic vibe with our ol’ dog Jax and our sassy cat Eleanor. We COULDNT BE HAPPIER!
Thanks for following along as we fix up this little 950sqft spot in this rural setting, and share some budget friendly finds + and thrifty shopping mixed in along the way!
